Coming home is a relief, and it can be a lot. We give families in Winnipeg practical, non-medical support for the first days and weeks, so recovery can happen where your loved one feels most comfortable.
How we help
The first day home
Help getting home and settled in, a tidy, safe space, groceries in the fridge and someone there so nobody is alone on day one.
Personal care
Gentle help with bathing, dressing, toileting and moving safely around the home while strength comes back.
Meals and errands
Easy, healthy meals, light housekeeping, laundry, prescription and grocery pick-ups.
Medication reminders
Friendly reminders to take medication as prescribed. We don't give or manage medication.
Nights and respite
Overnight stays for the first nights home, and breaks for family members who are doing the rest.
Appointments
Company to follow-up appointments, so you have a second set of ears.

If WRHA home care is arranged, we fit around those visits and add the extra hours your family needs.

Non-medical support only
We provide non-medical personal care and companionship. Our caregivers do not give injections, change wound dressings, administer medication or provide nursing care. Medication reminders only. We follow the discharge instructions from the hospital team and let you know if anything seems off, so you can contact your doctor or nurse.

You get a free, personalised quote before care begins. Private pay, WRHA Self & Family Managed Care and Veterans Affairs VIP may all apply, and our receipts can count toward the medical expense tax credit. See funding & payment.
